How to Cross Black Waters Fishing Hole in Mina the Hollower
To reach the far side of the Black Waters fishing hole in mina the hollower, you need the fishing rod. The gap is too wide to cross with a normal jump, so the trick is to use the rod on the purple enemy across the water and let it pull Mina over.
What You Need First
Before attempting the crossing, make sure you have the fishing rod. Without it, you will not be able to interact with the enemy on the opposite side in the way needed to cross the fishing hole.
There is also a nearby plant-covered area you can clear from range. If you position Mina on the opposite side of the screen and strike toward the plants, you can open up the area more easily. This is optional, but it helps clean up the space around the fishing hole.
How to Cross the Fishing Hole
Stand at the edge of the fishing hole and aim the fishing rod toward the purple enemy on the far side.
Cast the rod across the water so the purple enemy grabs onto it. Do not try to jump the gap; the distance is too large.
Once the enemy catches the line, it pulls Mina across the fishing hole and onto the other side.
Unlock the Shortcut Immediately
After reaching the far side, go upward first. Your priority should be unlocking the permanent shortcut so you do not have to repeat the fishing rod pull every time you return.
Interact with the rope shortcut on the upper platform. Once activated, it gives you an easier route back to this side of Black Waters.
Quick Steps
1. Get the fishing rod.
2. Go to the Black Waters fishing hole.
3. Optionally clear the nearby plant-covered area.
4. Stand near the edge and cast the rod toward the purple enemy.
5. Let the enemy grab the line and pull Mina across.
6. Head upward and unlock the rope shortcut.
Once the shortcut is open, you can revisit this side of the fishing hole without needing to redo the enemy-pull trick.
