How I Became Mina's Sidekick (Against My Better Judgment)

I was just a humble records-keeper in Ossex. My job was simple: file the Bone Tax receipts, dust the Underlab registration ledgers, and pretend I didn't notice when Cappy "borrowed" Plasma Vials from the infirmary. Quiet. Safe. Boring.

Then Mina crashed into town.

Literally. Her boat was attacked by some enormous Spark-mutated sea monster, and she washed up on Tenebrous Isle looking like a drowned rat — which, to be fair, she *is* a mouse, so that's not the insult it sounds like. Cappy handed her some Plasma Vials and off she went, burrowing through the ground like a caffeinated mole, whipping ghouls into oblivion with her Nightstar.

I watched her clear the entire Station Underpass in about four minutes. It had taken me three weeks to map that area by peeking around corners and running away from every skeleton I saw.

That's when I realized: someone needs to write this down.

Mina doesn't have time for manuals. She's too busy single-handedly restoring six Spark Generators, getting betrayed by Lionel (long story — read the boss guides), and somehow finding time to fish. Meanwhile, the rest of us are wandering into Black Waters without realizing we need a specific trinket to cross it.

So I started taking notes. At first it was just for myself — scribbled directions on the back of old Bone Tax forms. But then Thorne's Shock Troopers burned down half the Ossex records hall, and I thought: *if I don't preserve this information, nobody will.*

I followed Mina's trail (at a safe distance — she fights monsters; I fight paperwork). I mapped every area she cleared, catalogued every trinket she ignored because she "didn't need it," and interviewed every NPC who had something useful to say but no quest marker to say it with.

This website is the result. It's the guide I wish I'd had when I first stepped off the boat in Tenebrous Isle, immediately got lost, and had to burrow away from a Blob that was way above my pay grade.

How I'll Keep This Site Alive

Mina doesn't stop. Neither do I.

  • New discoveries: Every time Mina uncovers a secret room or a hidden trinket interaction, I'll document it — usually after she's cleared out the enemies, because I value my Bones.
  • Community tips: If you find something I missed, send it my way. Mina's too humble to brag about her finds, which means half the coolest trinkets go undocumented unless someone else notices.
  • Accuracy updates: Yacht Club Games occasionally patches things. I'll update guides when mechanics change, which means replaying sections and dying repeatedly for your benefit. You're welcome.
  • DLC and updates: If new content drops, I'll be there — probably hiding behind a pillar in Ossex, notebook in hand, waiting for Mina to do the dangerous part first.

Think of me as the Cappy to Mina's adventure: I can't fight bosses, but I'll make sure you know exactly which weapon, sidearm, and trinkets to bring before you try.
